Breaking the seal..

I have to say I am surprised at myself for even taking on an actual writing project.  But, if you know anything about me, the past few years have been entirely trying both emotionally and physically, and I'm finding a need an outlet because I am finally feeling myself.   My main goal is to inform people of the garden growing in my Stallis yard, how it is coming about, and any other tidbits that I encounter along the way (which with my husband and family is constant!).

I have no idea if anyone will even read it, I know I'm guilty for passing over people's self righteous blogs.

I suffered an incredible loss a couple years ago, which I still tend to reel from, and I'm now surrounding myself with projects that will help me make money, and keep the stress level down!

First, latest project is a new pet sitting position.  Which is awesome, because I really do love animals more than people.  And if I'm able to make money hanging out with animals all day long, who could resist that?

Second, I decided to do some sort of CSA program from my little yard in Downtown West Allis.  Yes, I know it sounds odd.  I am always growing WAY more than my husband and I can even eat, and end up giving away most of my vegetables.  By the way, the plants at the West Allis Farmer's Market are the best I have ever encountered.  I wanted a way to keep my friends and family informed of everything I'm growing, and to let those other West Allisians (or whatever the heck they're called), know that your yard can be an incredible resource!  (besides keeping your car on blocks, and your couch setup for the Nascar games:)

It may be boring at times, but I have a crazy sense of humor and honestly encounter the most bizarre things.  Between my family, the customers I come across while serving, and living in West Allis, I am in no shortage of craziness.

So, come back here if you'd like.  Since the husband unit is a chef, I come up with some wonderful recipes with what's available.  If you're in the area, I'd love for you to come by and check out the garden and/or pick what you'd like!

Well I guess that's enough for an inaugural post, I know it ain't much but who knows.  Maybe my trials and tribulations will mirror that of Julie Powell.  Until then, mangia!
